Kenneth W. Sloan

Kenneth W. Sloan, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.  

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Angie Sloan; stepdaughter Jennifer Klinckman; grandchildren, Mariellis Crain, Jeremy Crain, and Henry Crain; his father James Sloan; and his brother John (Mary) Sloan; nephews Adam (Rondi) Sloan, and Nicholas (Cristina) Sloan. 

He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Sloan; and his brother, Robert Sloan. 

Kenneth was a proud Navy Veteran who achieved the rank of Boiler Technician Third Class. A majority of his time in the Navy he served on the USS Charles H. Roan, which was a Gearing Class Destroyer DD-853. 

Kenneth will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, in Elwood with full military honors on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 12 pm.
