92, of Manhattan, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at The Cottages in New Lenox. LaVerne was born in Chicago to the late Charles and Frances (nee Marren) Ostermeyer. Loving, caring and devoted wife of the late George A. Karr; loving mother of Linda L. (Dennis) Kramer and Donna L. (Charles) Smith; cherished grandmother of Rebecca (Brad) Zinn, Jennifer Smith, Amy Smith, Leah (Jon) Waldo, Carolyn Kramer and Sharon Kramer; great grandmother of Declan Zinn; dear sister of the late Irene (the late John) Roach and the late Charles Ostermeyer; fond aunt of many. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 pm. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
