Leonard F. Caria, Sr.

Leonard F. Caria, Sr., age 85, a resident of New Lenox formerly of Chicago Ridge and Tennessee, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Loving father of Leonard "Len" (Nancy) Caria, Jr. and Tracy (Lil-Joe) Caria; beloved brother of Fran Voit; cherished grandfather of Michael and Nicole Caria; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Caria; parents Peter and Sue Caria; brother Peter Caria; sister's Josephine Korkos and Carmella Tietz. Leonard was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a police officer for Chicago Ridge, Fire and Police Commissioner for New Lenox and a member of the American Legion Post in New Lenox. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox IL 60451 on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the donor's choice in Leonard's name would be appreciated.
