Linda Ann Cidell

Linda Ann Cidell, age 73, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Loyola Medical Center.

She is survived by her loving husband William Cidell; children, Lauren and Adam Cidell; and siblings, Mary Long, and Edgar Snider.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Wava (nee Dilly) Snider.

Linda was a public-school teacher for 30 years for Illinois School District 144. She enjoyed her work and would take much pride and enjoyment teaching children. Linda loved to read, especially mysteries, and was part of the Library Mystery Group. She also had a deep faith and was very involved with the United Methodist Church. She was a proud Methodist and had been for over 40 years. She was involved with many groups at church, especially the Friday Morning Bible Study group. She was a diehard Chicago White Sox fan, as well as a Bears and Blackhawks fan too. Linda was a kind soul. She and her wicked sense of humor will be missed by all that knew her.

A memorial service will be held at United Methodist Church in New Lenox on Friday, September 24, 2021 beginning at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Special Olympics in Linda’s name would be preferred.
