Age 77, of Orland Park, passed away on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Lois is survived by her loving family including children, Robert (Kimberly) Dion, Aaron Hull, Jennifer Haneline, grandchildren, James Hull, Patrick Swetz, William Swetz, Robert Swetz, Kateri Dion, Madeline Haneline and Jack Haneline. Lois was also a devoted friend to many.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Anna Schroer (Boyer), husband, Robert Dion, daughter, Denise Swetz and brother John Schroer.

Lois was a longtime member of Marley Community Church in Mokena. She was also a member of Nation Junior Classical League and American Association of University Women. Lois retired from School District #230 as a Latin and English Teacher at Carl Sandburg High School and Amos Alonzo Stagg High School.

Family will receive at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, December 5th 2021 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral service, Monday, December 6th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Marley Community Church, 12625 W. 187th Street, Mokena, IL 60448. Interment, Barnet Cemetery, Lockport IL.
