Age 93, a resident of Morris, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018. Beloved wife of the late James Andrew Hatz; loving mother of Donald (Melanie) Hatz and Linda Faye Rogers; cherished grandmother of James (Mary) Hatz, Jeffrey (Annette) Hatz, David (Angela) Hatz, Deborah (Steve) Ludvigsen, Diane Hatz, Denver (Beth) Fisher, Barbara (Mark) McDermott, and Melissa (Marty) Martinez and great-grandmother of 21, and great-great grandmother of 4; also survived by her dear niece Sharon (David) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Elanore “Laura” Johnson (Fietterer), her son James Alan Hatz, her brother Alvin (late Lillian) Johnson, Son in laws Denver Fisher and Loren Rogers, and nephew Steven Jandura. Lois attended Joliet Central High School and worked at Rock Island Railroad for 7 years and New Lenox School District as a bus driver for 18 years. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Thursday, October 4, 2018 with chapel prayers at 10:30 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL.
