Lorraine C. Zolna

Lorraine C. Zolna (Zaitz) Age 90, a resident of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Zolna Sr. legendary 16” softball Hall of Famer; loving mother of Eddie Jr. (and the late Kim) Zolna, Judy Zolna, Jayne Zolna, and Jeanne (Paul) Dresden; cherished grandmother of Michael Zolna, Tim (John) Zolna, John Zolna, Michelle Dresden, Dawn Dresden, and Sandie Dresden and great-grandmother of Haylee Marie Mahoney and Elisabeth Zolna; great-great grandmother of Ophelia; Of many siblings one surviving brother Edward Zaitz from Trevor, Wis.; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Vendolyn and Rose Zaitz (Kuliak), and grandson Edward J. Zolna III. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with family, especially her great-granddaughter Haylee Marie Mahoney who would bring her the angel bell to ring so we could hear her from the other room. Years ago when softball games were the families enjoyment, Lorraine would welcome the team passing around her wonderful fried chicken and would be #1 fan in the stands having many good times with her good friends Kathy Jakobi and the late Kay Karkoska, rooting on the team! The family would also like to thank the Heartland Hospice for their kindness shown to their mother. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
