Lucy V. Feeney

Lucy V. Feeney 87, of Joliet was born in Colfax IL. to the late Clare and Grace Tempel and passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2024. Loving mother of Paula (James) Rogers, Peggy (Guillermo) Ruiz, James (Cindy) Feeney and the late Michelle Feeney; proud and devoted grandmother of Ryan Ruiz, Teofanes Ruiz, Gregory (Kerry) Joutras, and Stefanie (Matt) Manietta; dear sister of Patrick (the late Peggy) Tempel, the late Julie (Jack) Ludwig; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Lucy was a devoted nurse in the Joliet area, working for St. Joseph, Silver Cross Hospital and Joliet Correctional Center Medical Unit before retiring in 2001. Longtime parishioner of St. Bernards Church in Joliet, and member of the Joliet’s Woman’s Club, as well as an alumni of St. Joe’s School of Nursing 1957. Avid gardener and loved her cats. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Lucy’s name to The American Diabetes Association, see link below. A graveside service will be on Saturday July 27, 2024 11:30am at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 200 W. Romeo Rd Romeoville, IL. Friends and family meet at the cemetery entrance at 11:15am to be led in promptly at 11:30am.
