age 70 of Mokena; beloved of Connie Sowa; fond son of the late Ignazia (nee Caldara) and Giuseppe; dearest brother of Josephine (Bill) Savarino, the late Luigia (the late John) Marino and the late Vincenzo (Josephine); dearest uncle of Alfonzo (Maureen) Marino, Santa (David) Jermolowicz, Josie (Eric) Schmidt, Nancy (Barry) McDonald, Joseph (Tina) Bongiovanni; loving uncle and godfather of Philip (An), Joseph and Biagio (Adriana) Savarino and Nancy (David) Arndt; cherished great-uncle of Meghan, Lindsey and John Marino, Jessica and Joseph Jermolowicz, Michael and Gina Arndt, Eric, Lauren and Adam Schmidt, Ella and Olivia McDonald, Luciana Bongiovanni, Emily, Billy and Philip Savarino, Gianna, Gabriella, Billy and Guliana Savarino. Rico was an honest and true friend of many. He was the former President of Maroons Italo-American Soccer Club and founder and former President of Chicago Area Soccer League.

Funeral service, Thursday, February 9th, 2017 with prayers at the funeral home 10:45 a.m. then to St. Mary Church in Mokena for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
