Age 98 of Joliet, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 28th 2016 in Joliet.

Marion is survived by her loving family, children, Bill (fiancée Carol Maxson) Summers, Janet (Bob) Surges, son-in-law, Owen Elmer, sister, Gladys Ferguson, grandchildren, Dr. Cindy (Rev. Rodney) Durr, Dr. Rick (Michelle) Elmer, Dr. Brent (Wendy) Elmer, Dr. Lynn (Darren) Allison, Eric (Patrick Leonard) Summers, Dirk (Kelly) Summers, Deron (Tracy) Summers, Brett (Tonya) Surges, Chad Surges, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Eunice LeRoy (Hool), husband, Earl Summers, daughter, Louise Elmer, daughter-in-law, Marcia Summers, siblings, Alfred LeRoy and Blanche Warriner.

Marion was a very active member of the Joliet First Church of the Nazarene for 70 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who greatly enjoyed spending time with her family as well as her church congregation.

Marion's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Dr. Pundaleeka and the Joliet Area Community Hospice personnel for all of the loving care and support that they have provided to Marion.

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 2nd, 2016 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at11:00 AM at the Joliet First Church of the Nazarene, 1009 S. Briggs Street, Joliet, IL 60433.
