Mary A. Berndt (Werneth)
Age 69, a resident of New Lenox, formerly of Burbank, IL and Mobile, AL, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019. Loving mother of Larry (Sarah) Berndt and Laura (Sean) Cooney; cherished grandmother of Jade, Jackson, Jace, Kayleen, Sean Jr., Breanna, and Riley; dear sister of David (Evelyn), late Richard (Wanda), and James (Victoria). She was preceded in death by her parents David and Mary Werneth (Wood). Mary enjoyed gardening and was an avid tea pot collector. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and soaking up the sun on the beach. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to help pay for funeral services would be appreciated.
