Age 81, of New Lenox, passed away Monday, March 11th, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice House in Joliet.

Mary is survived by her loving family, children, Kathleen (William ) Carik, William (Colleen) Knippel, Jr., Raymond (LeeAnne) Knippel, Jeanne Gear, siblings, Edmund (Fran) Knowles, Patricia Holman, Jill (Tom) Bojan, grandchildren, John Lovato, Jr., Greg Carik, Mary Kerkman, Erin Knippel, Kaitlin Knippel, Curtis Menke, Erin Menke, Ryan Knippel, Kristie Corbin and several great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William Knippel.

Mary retired from the Will County Highway Department.

A funeral mass will be held, Friday, March 15th, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 West 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451. Interment, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort.
