Mary A. Wassner

Mary A. Wassner (Waller), age 84, a resident of Monee passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. Loving mother of Leslie (John) Cosich, late Mark (late Jet) Wassner and Billy (Kim) Wassner; beloved sister of Charlotte Waller, Cynthia Boyne, late Kenny (JoAnne) Waller, Wayne (late Barbara) Waller and Kevin (Jean) Waller; cherished grandmother of Brett, Tory, John Ross, Tyler, Jacob and Reese; proud great grandmother of Jack, Charlie, Camden, Nolan, Shea and Cora Jane; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Mary Waller (Birmingham). Mary was a switch board operator for Peoples Gas and a Beloved school bus driver for Peotone Community School District. Mary spent the last few weeks of her life being able to spend quality time with her loving family. She was blessed by God to be sober for the past 53 years, she mentored and was a friend to countless people. She was a homemaker and an amazing shopper. Services for Mary will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mary's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Alcoholic Anonymous to continue to pay it forward and continue Mary's legacy.
