Mary Ann Gatto

Mary Ann Gatto, age 82, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

Mary Ann is survived by her beloved children, Victoria (Steve) Wilcox, Frank Gatto III, Teresa (Dominic) Porto, Gerri (Jay) Gordon, Kathryn (Patrick) Kirk, Constance (Anthony) Zuccato; grandchildren, Tommy, Nicole, Michael, Daniel, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Alexis, Joshua, Samuele, Stephanie, Matthew, Brendan, Jenna; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Miranda, Samantha, Kenzie, Maddy, Miley, Zoey, Aiden, Ian; siblings, Jean (Joe) Downs, and Martha (Alan) Mundt; sister-in-law, Natalie Mooi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank Gatto Jr.; parents Neil and Marie Mooi; and brother Raymond Mooi.

Mary Ann will be remembered for her love of the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed spending time in her kitchen baking, especially her famous banana bread. Most of all she loved her family dearly, and cherished any time that she got to spend with them.

Services for Mary Ann will begin on Thursday, July 21, 2022 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, in New Lenox, from 3pm-8pm. Services will continue the following day with a short visitation at the funeral home from 9am until the time of service at 11am. Mary Ann will be laid to rest a Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
