Mary Baird Oreshack

MARY BAIRD ORESHACK

Mary was born in Kirkwood, a small town near Glasgow, Scotland in 1925. She came to the United States 2 years later and was brought up in Detroit, Michigan, with her two brothers; Jack & Alec, Jack still resides in Detroit.

She graduated from high school in Detroit and attended Detroit Business Institute where she graduated in 1945.

She moved to Washington, D.C. in 1947, where she worked at the Department of Commerce. While she was in Washington, she met and married her husband, Michael Oreshack.

Mary and Michael settled in Lockport, Illinois, where they raised their two boys; David, who currently lives in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area, with his wife Nancy, and, Paul, who lives in Buckeye Arizona, with his wife Fara.

Michael passed away in 1990, and Mary moved to Arizona in 2007. Mary moved to The Groves, in Goodyear, Arizona, where she was one of the first residents to move in the first day it opened in 2015.

Mary enjoyed her grandchildren, & family; Kurt, Bridy, Vivienne, Brooks, Brody; Kyle, Susie; Kayleigh, Tuan, Hayden; Kevin & Kaitlin.

Connie, Bill, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Gavin; Jagaedy, Brayden, Ryland; Justen, Jolese, Jace; Sandra Rutter, Nancy L. Oreshack and Audrey (Mike) Davidson.

Family will receive friends at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 700 W. 9th Street, Lockport, IL 60441on Saturday, April 21st, 2018 from 12:00 noon until time of the memorial service at 1:00 PM.
