Mary Ann Crawford-Guzzi, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Lightways Hospice House in Joliet.
Mary is survived by her beloved children, Anita (Randy) Reiss, Randy (Debbie) Crawford, Bill (Dawn) Crawford, and Mike (Lisa) Crawford; grandchildren, Joel (Dawn Whalen) Sicinski, John (Sarah) Sicinski, Annie (Jeremy) Miech, Kathy (Erich) Hearns, Heidi (Mike) Tovar, Joe (Amanda) Carr, Ryan (Tori) Crawford, Scott (Hilary) Crawford, Ashley (Dave) Swanson, Heather (Dan) Plucinski, Kristen (Zach) Minger, and Michael (Anna) Crawford; great-grandchildren, Emma Miech, Reiss Miech, Sam Sicinski, Simon Sicinski, Ethan Hearns, Evan Hearns, Jamie Crawford, Ian Guerra, Gage Guerra, Mason Carr, Emilia Carr, Mackenzie Crawford, Alexis Crawford, Tyson Crawford, Addilynn Crawford, Gavin Crawford, Maison Crawford, Tucker Crawford, Avery Swanson, Owen Swanson, Emerson Minger, and Beckett Minger; siblings, Bill (Bea) Ryan, Bob Ryan, and Rita Werner.
She is preceded in death by her husband Nick Guzzi; her parents Anna and Tom Ryan; siblings, Tom Ryan, and Margaret Mudroch; and her grandson, Jason Crawford.
Mary was born in Wilton Center, IL and attended Wilton Center Grade School before moving onto St. Mary Carmelite Grade School. She finished her schooling at Providence Catholic High School with the class of 1954. Mary was a proud and active member of the St. Bernard parish in Joliet and the Jolly Dollies. Mary worked for Fitzgerald Furniture Company for many years and at Hines VA Hospital until her retirement in 1997.
Services for Mary will begin on Friday, July 5, 2024 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road in New Lenox, from 3pm-8pm. Services will continue the following day, Saturday, July 6, 2024, with a brief visitation from 9am-9:30am, and Mass at St. Mary Magdaline Catholic Church, 127 S. Briggs Street in Joliet at 10am. Mary will be laid to rest at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Manhattan. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice or Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Mary’s name would be appreciated.
