Age 80, of Oak Lawn, late of Griffith, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Ippolito; loving mother of Lesa (Gerry) Potacki, Mary Ippolito-Hensley (fiancé-Mike Crooker), Peter J. (Peg Schumann-Ippolito), Pamela Ippolito, Christina Ippolito, and James V. (Heather) Ippolito; cherished grandmother of Brett Hensley, Maria (Joe) Miley, Morgan Ippolito, Matthew Potacki, Marisa Ippolito, Rachel Ippolito, Grace Potacki, Cameron Ippolito, Tessa Ippolito, Joey Ippolito, Kendall Ippolito, Noah Ippolito, and Gavin Ippolito; and great-grandmother of Joseph Potacki and Oliver Miley; dear sister of Louise (late Don) Sues; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph P. Ippolito; parents Joseph and Mary D. Cairo (nee Labriola); and sister Theresa (late Sam) Serafino. Maryann served as Director of Religious Education at St. Linus Parish in Oak Lawn for 27 years. Maryann was an excellent cook; her greatest joy was spending time with family and preparing home-cooked meals, and playing bridge and golf with her dear friends. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 4-8 PM. The family and friends will meet at St. Linus Parish, 10300 Lawler Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 for an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, IL.
