May E. Schrank Obituary
May Edna Schrank (nee Kuse) age 98, longtime resident of New Lenox passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2023.
She is survived by her children Harold (Jane) Schrank, Lillian (Monroe) Striggow, and Helen (David) Anderson, her grandchildren Courtney Schrank, Monica Schrank, Jennifer (Tony) Pietrzak, Jason (Lauren) Striggow, Jordon (Shannon) Striggow, Jeffrey (Nicole Zacharias) Striggow, and great-grandchildren Makenzie Pietrzak, Paige Pietrzak, and Oliver Striggow, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul Schrank, her parents, John and Julia Kuse, brothers Henry (Selma) Kuse, Herman (Lydia) Kuse, and John (Judith) Kuse, sisters Emma Kuse, Alma Kuse, Amanda (Walter) Langreder, and Ida (Albert) Mersch.
May was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Lenox where she participated in the Women’s League. She was also an avid bowler and was on the New Lenox Senior Bowling League.
May was a head cook at Bruns Restaurant in New Lenox for many years and then BorgWarner in Frankfort until her retirement.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in May’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church in New Lenox would be appreciated. As was May’s request, private services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church with interment at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Frankfort.
