Michael L. Ross

Michael L. Ross, age 97, passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2021.
Michael Ross is survived by his loving daughters Rachel Ross, Leanne Damiani, and Cynthia Bennett; sons, Rodney (Christine) Ross, and Michael (Mari Lynn) Ross; grandchildren, Rodney Ross, Debrah (Michael) Bellanti, Michael (Erica) Ross, Kaylee Ross, Elizabeth Bennett, and Gabriel Ross; his two great-grandchildren, Nora and Emily Ross; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Sylvester.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth Ross; his parents Michael and Margaret Ross; and his brothers Albert Ross and John Ross.
Michael was a hard-working man who took great joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Michael was a World War II veteran serving his country proudly in the United States Navy. He also was a successful businessman who began and ran his own property development company. Michael was also a very devout Catholic who was firm in his faith up until the end. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Services for Michael will begin with a visitation at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 9:30am until time of mass at 10:30am. Michael will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association in Michael’s name would be appreciated. MASKS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL IN ATTENDANCE.
