Michael “Mikey” E. Peterson Jr.

Age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 21 , 2020. Beloved son of Carol McCarthy Peterson and Michael E. Peterson Sr., loving brother of Julie (Scott) Sallese, Jason (Amy) Peterson, and Brian (Meghaan) Peterson; Cherished uncle of 8 nieces and nephews; Amanda, Kaitlyn, Abby, Alyssa, Ava, Amelia, Sean, and Maura. Loved by numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Graduate of St. Judes, Providence Catholic, and Illinois State University. Mike was in the process of pursuing a teaching certificate. His interests included Notre Dame football, Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, and had a passion for history. He was dedicated to supporting causes for those who struggle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a go fund me page that will be set up to support causes in his honor.

The family will receive friends at St. Judes Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday July 27, 2020 from 10:00 am until time of funeral mass at 11:00 am. Interment at Good Shepard Catholic Cemetery, 16201 S. 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467.
