C. Fred Fike

72, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at his home with his family at his side. Born December 24, 1938 in Hamilton Ohio and resident of New Lenox, IL since 1985. Survived by his wife Vivian (Charlene) Fike, daughters Amy (John) Rowlette of Hamilton, Ohio and Cherisse (Anthony) Infusino of Elwood IL, and four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his son Daniel Fike, parents Rollins and Catherine Fike, brothers Donald and Jerry Fike, and sister Donna Fike Gentry. Fred was retired from Chicago Housing Authority and was previously employed by the Folger Adam Company and Armco Steel Corporation. Served in the United States Navy with Fighter Squadron VF41, a member of American Legion Post 1977 in New Lenox, and worked for Lowes In New Lenox for many years. The family would like to extend a special Thank-you to Joliet Area Community Hospice for their dedicated care during this difficult time. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451, from 2-7PM. Funeral Service Monday, December 19, 2011 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
