Clarence DeGroot Jr.

Age 71, of New Lenox, passed away on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, after a courageous battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease. Beloved husband of Mary nee denOuden; loving father of Chuck (Debbie) DeGroot, Rick (Annette) DeGroot, Michele (Mark) Rosenfeld, Mike (Stacey) DeGroot, and Mary Danielle DeGroot (Joe Gonzalez); cherished grandfather of Brad, Aubrey, Chad, Marissa, Michael, Haley, Olivia, Max, Ellie, Miles, Ross, and Mitchell; dear brother of James (Linda) DeGroot; also survived by his devoted dog Roxy. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Clarence DeGroot Sr., and Walterdena "Babe" nee Helmus. The Family would like to extend a very special Thank-you to Clarence's favorite doctor, Dr. Sam Saltzberg. Clarence's sense of humor, kindness, and generosity will be missed by all. Family will receive friends at New Life Church, 500 Gougar Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at 10:00 AM at New Life Church, New Lenox. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox.
