Age 71, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 with his family at his side. Beloved husband of Kathleen nee Rimkus; devoted cousin and buddy of Brian Pearson; loving father of Cindy (Joe) Owano; loving grandfather of Rhiannon and Raven Owano; dear brother of Ardis (John) Gniadek and Allen (Marie) Sherwin. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Sherwin and Shirley Watson. Dale was a Vietnam Army Veteran, member of the American Legion in Frankfort and member of the Wounded Warrior Project. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, January 30th, 2014 from 3-8 PM. Funeral Friday, January 31st, 2014 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
