80, of New Lenox passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Donald was born in Joliet to the late August and Elda (nee Collmer) Riemer. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Richie); Loving father of Michael Riemer, Terry (Elizabeth) Riemer and Donna Riemer; Loving grandfather of Michael Jr. (Jen) Riemer, Shannon (Shannon) Santiago, Breann (Scott) Conroy and Katherine Riemer; Cherished great-grandfather of seven; Fond brother of Helen (Gene) Krohn, the late George (the late Shirley) Riemer, the late Ruth Riemer and the late Raymond (Delores) Riemer; brother-in-law of the late Ruth (Thomas) Morris, Wayne (the late Nancy) Richie, Sue (Larry) Bebej, the late Freddy Richie and the late John (Jane) Richie; numerous nieces nephews and cousins also survive. Donald was a Supervisor for Caterpillar where he spent 35 years, retiring in 1986. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in Donald's name to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 3 - 8PM. Funeral service Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet.
