Edward H. Moran Sr. "Mickey"
Age 75, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015. Beloved husband of Patricia nee Lizzio; loving father of Eddie Jr. (Karen) Moran, Patti Moran, and Michael (Cheryl) Moran; cherished grandfather of Nicholas Laing, Alyssa Laing, Mathew Moran, Zachary Moran, Dylan Moran, and Austin Moran and great-grandfather of Ava Johnson; dear brother of Barbara Hanrahan, Richard Moran, Chuck Moran, and Susan Coughlan; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorothy Moran nee Lang, and one brother Jack Moran. Edward was the Alderman and Treasurer in Country Club Hills, treasurer for Stonebridge Valley, involved with Kiwanis, member of the United Way, and member of the National Guard. He was umpire for girls softball, little league coach, and Cougar football announcer. He attended St. Barnabas Grade school, St. Ignatius High school, and graduated from Loyola with his Bachelors degree. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 3 until 8pm. Funeral service Friday, April 10, 2015 with chapel prayers at 9:45 AM to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 for a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
