Age 75 of Mokena, passed away on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015. Beloved husband of Leilani nee Rhodes; loving father of Glenn (Susan) Swick, Renee (Bill) Drake, Gary (Ruth) Swick, Christopher (Samantha) Swick, and Dawn (Tom) Sula; cherished grandfather of Jesse, Randy, Jared, Justin, Jason, Jacob, Zoe, Chance, Katie, and Ashley; dear brother of William (Patricia) Swick, Richard (Carol) Swick, and Virginia (Joel) Cortina. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert Sr. and Frances Swick and sister Dorothy Robinson. Herb was a collector of coins, an avid Elvis Presley fan, and lifelong Bear's fan. He retired from Harrah's casino as a security officer and "lucky charm." He was a loving and kind husband, father, grand-father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6th, 2015 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Friday, August 7th, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment private.
