67, of Braidwood, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016. Loving brother-in-law of Ruth Vyhanek; also survived by his cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marie Vyhanek; one brother Joseph Vyhanek; and two sisters Betty (late Tom) Elder, and Mary (late Rex) Clark. He was a Viet Nam Army Veteran, and member of Golden Glass Corvette Club. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service Friday, January 29 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675 would be appreciated.
