Age, 84, resident of New Lenox, IL ., passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 in Joliet, IL. Beloved husband of Patricia nee Grant. Loving father of Phillip (Tracy) Witkowski, Lisa (Kenneth) VanderVelde, and Ellen (Kenny) Haas. Dear brother of Edwin Witkowski, Gene (Donna) Witkowski, and Regina (late Lloyd) Rohder. Cherished grandfather of Karen, Emily, Ryan, Jacob, Lucy, and Josephine. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents: Ignatius and Mary Witkowski. Joseph was a World War II Navy Veteran, member of the Frankfort Car Club, and member of the New Lenox VFW Post # 9545. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 3-8 pm. Funeral Service Tuesday, July 12, 2011 10 am. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien, IL.
