Mr. Lawrence A. Glielmi

Lawrence A. Glielmi, age 85, of Mokena, IL., passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015. Beloved husband of Dorothea nee Peterson; loving father of Gary (Patricia) Glielmi, Regina (Daniel) Fike, Angela Glielmi, Arlene (Mark) Hopkins, Lynne (Brian) Horvath, Larry (Vany) Glielmi, Mary Ann (Bill) Ornelas, David Glielmi, the late Anthony Glielmi, Robert (Jymie) Glielmi, and Thomas Glielmi; cherished grandfather of 22 and great-grandfather of 7; dear brother of Alfred Gliemi, Marie Porter, and Patricia Walsh. He was preceded in death by his parents Pasquale and Vitale Glielmi; and siblings Angela Dice, Josephine Walta, and Yolanda Glielmi. Lawrence was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, founder of the Youth Service Bureau in Calumet Park and Vice President of the Community Improvement Association in Calumet Park, and member of the Mount Carmel High school Alumni Association. Family will receive friends on Tuesday May 26, 2015 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort Il 60423.
