Lyle E. Genens
Age 83, of Mokena, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012. Beloved husband of Malvin nee Kasputis; loving brother of Shirley (Wallace) Mohr and brother-in-law of Francine (Charles) Fuhrer; dear uncle of Larry (Joni) Mohr, David Mohr, and Celia Fuhrer; also survived by many dear friends. Lyle was an Army Veteran, where he was a member of the band; and devoted member of the Joliet American Legion Band for 40 years. He enjoyed boating, traveling, photography, and assembling pictorials of his travels. He graduated from Purdue University and was very active in the band, and was employed for Argonne National Laboratory for 33 years. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, IL 60451 on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 3:00PM to 9:00PM. Funeral service Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association or American Alzheimer's Association appreciated.
