Linda M. Porick nee Hemmer

Age 68, of Frankfort, IL., passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016. Beloved wife of Dennis Porick; loving mother of Katherine (Jonathan) Porick-Calder and Karisa (Michael) Porick-Casey; cherished aunt of Gregory and Marcia Michels. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Murel Hemmer, and sister Sharon Marie (Chuck) Michels. Linda was an undergrad at Illinois State University where she was a member of Delta Omicron music fraternity and drum major of the marching band. She received her Master of Science degree in Educational Technology and her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Governor's State University, and retired from Lincoln Way East High School after 41 years of teaching. Linda was a member of the John Purdue Club at Purdue University, American Saddlebred Horse Association, American Saddlebred Museum, Lincoln Way East Super Fans, and the Silver Lake Golf Gals. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423, on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 3-9pm. Funeral service Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort, IL.
