Age 70, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2018 in Marshfield, WI. Beloved wife George F. Ashley "Frank"; loving mother of Laura M. Ashley, George Edward "Ed" Ashley, Andrew J. (Soonae) Ashley, Gwendolyn M. Ashley, and Ami Joe Workman; cherished grandmother of Alex Ashley; dear sister of Marnean (late Donald) Briese; also survived by her brother-in-law Paul Sandahl. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Marjorie Dau (Reiter); and Sister Joan Sandahl. Lois was a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Granton, WI. She taught at Luther South High school, and Caterpillar Tractor in the metallurgy lab. Lois retired from the U.S. Postal Service as Post Master in Hazelhurst, WI. She loved fishing and sharing her lake house with family and friends. She lovingly sang praises to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; singing in choirs at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Lenox, Trinity Lutheran, Tinley Park, IL, Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield, WI, and the Northwoods Hymn Festivals. The family will receive friends at Trinity Evangelical Church, 508 N. Cedar Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 1:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
