Anita Wetherbee nee Bachmann

Age 81, lifelong resident of Lockport, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, February 5, 2012, surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Norm (Beverly) Wetherbee, Stephen (Pam) Wetherbee, Laura Lee Wetherbee, and Stuart Wetherbee; cherished grandmother of Greg (Windy) Formento, Gina (Joe) O'Mara, Matthew Wetherbee, and Katie Wetherbee; and great-grandmother of Nathan, Brady and Chase O'Mara, and Laina Formento; and godmother of Lynn Bachmann; dear sister of Duncan (Allene) Bachmann and Grace Susan Bachmann. Anita was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Eleanor (nee Macauley) Bachmann; brother: John Bachmann, and sister-in-law: Carol Bachmann. Also survived by cousins: Ken Irvine and Jeanne (Roger) Sahs; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was retired from Argonne National Laboratory, graduated from LTHS class of 1948, member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Laureate Beta Iota Chapter, former board member of Autism Society of America (NSAC), and lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lockport. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 from 3 to 8 PM. Lying in State on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1500 South Briggs Street, Lockport, IL 60451. Interment Brooks Cemetery, Homer Glen, IL. Memorial donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church appreciated.
