Loa K. Bockholdt nee Baker
Age 93, resident of Lockport for over 50 years, formerly of Lemont, passed away Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice House in Joliet. Beloved wife of the late Walter Bockholdt; loving mother of Gary (Sharon) Bockholdt; cherished grandmother of Charissa, Matthew, Ryan, Brian, Erik, Bradley, and Brett; and great-grandmother of Tyler, Kyle, Jordan, Grace, Benjamin, Kya, Kobe, Kali, Kade, Isabella, and Charles; dear sister of Dawn Draney; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Loa was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Marie Baker nee Leffler; children Cheryl Singer and Kim (late Joseph) Stanton; and one sister Wanda (Paul) Dodge. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lockport, retired from Champion Federal Bank, piano teacher for 60 years in the Lockport area, and avid gardener. Loa was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be sorely missed. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, IL 60441 on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 604 E. 9th St., Lockport, IL 60441 would be appreciated.
