Mary Ann "Tippy" Bajt nee Madarik
passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at her home in Lockport. She is survived by her daughter Mary Frances; sister-in-law Joyce Madarik, special niece Doris M. Hammel, and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis J. Bajt; her parents Joseph and Mary (Suca) Madarik; six brothers Emil, Joseph Jr. (late Emma), John (late Paula), Valentine (late Ione), Elmer (late Nancy), and Andrew (Joyce) Madarik; and three sisters Magdalen (late Frank) Jurkovich, Irene (late Hershell) Carlton, and Agnes (late Herman) Ziesmer. Tippy was born and raised in Joliet, and co-owned Tip's Grocery Store with her husband for 20 years. She's been a resident of Lockport for the past 38 years. Family will receive friends at St. Bernard Church, 1313 Ridgewood Ave., Joliet, IL from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Bernard Church appreciated.
