Nancy Lee Budzinski (nee Wisneski)

Passed peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Born and raised in Joliet. Graduate of JTHS class of 1958. Nancy had several jobs until she found her niche as an executive assistant and receptionist for the Sisters of St. Francis Mother house in Joliet, where she worked for 43 years. She married Lawrence P. “Larry” Budzinski in July 1961. Nancy was a vibrant, kind, generous woman, loved by all who met her. She instilled into her children her strong devotion to family and profound love of animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Frances (Chellino) Wisneski. Survived by her beloved husband Larry; three children, Julie (Jeff) Anderson, Dan (Carrie) Budzinski, and ToniLynn (Albert) Gibson; four grandchildren, Anthony and Alex Gibson, and Kyle and Ryan Pearce; a sister LaNora (Frank) Lukanich, and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers accepted at funeral home, or donations can be made to Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
The family would like to thank Nancy's caregiver, Dona, for the love and excellent care she provided.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 4pm – 7pm. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15am to Church of St. Anthony 100 N. Scott St, Joliet, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
