Patricia Jean Loar, passed away peacefully, on June 26, 2024, at The Cottages of New Lenox with her loving daughters by her side. She was born September 19, 1941, to Joseph and Augusta (nee Geotz) Posthuma in Evergreen Park, IL. Loving survivors include her six daughters Paula (Michael) Kantor, Patricia (Robert) Tures, Mary Otis, Kelly (Dennis) Jadin, Christy (Leon) Baine, and Nicole (David) Bradford; her grandchildren Ryan (Sarah) Kantor, Joshua Kantor, Brett (Hannah) Kantor, Justin (Nicole) Meyers, Tesmerie Otis, Morgan Baine, Wyatt Baine, Shelbie Bradford, Hayley Bradford, and Marley Bradford; adored GiGi to Brody, Abby, Logan, Reagan, Landon, Mara, and Roman Kantor, and Madelyn Meyers; her brother Lawrence Posthuma, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Richard Otis, second husband Raymond Loar, and her three sisters Edith Bedinghaus, Mary Muscato, and Betty Pitluck.
Patricia will be remembered for her love of horses, dogs, antique furniture, and reading Harlequin Novels. She loved to tend to her garden and canned everything in it. She also loved genealogy and spent countless hours trying to find new family members. She also enjoyed being an election judge every year. She loved family parties and cooking for everyone, quilting, and sewing.
Patricia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
