93, of New Lenox formerly of Manhattan, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice House, Joliet. Loving husband of Flora “Pat” Gallagher; beloved step- father of Bruce (Donghua Liu) Brown, Debra (Jeff) Price, Cindy (Paul) Miller and Greg (Karen) Brown; dearest brother of Marie (late Ed) Planert, late Edward (late Barbara) Gallagher and late William (late Shirley) Gallagher; cherished grandfather of Chandra (Carl) Dalton, Wendy (Chris) Karger, Amanda Price, Christopher (Sharon) Brown, Katie Brown, Karli Brown, Madelynn Battles, Jennifer Weber, Kendra (Jim) DeFrank, Bret (Laura) Weber, Rebecca Miller, Amy (Mike Apostolou) Miller, Christian Miller; proud great grandfather of J.J., Taylor, Skylar, Cameron, Brynn, Connor, Brielle, Brian, Kiara, Destiny, Kenneth; also survived by former daughter-in-law Dorothy “Dottie” Brown and beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox IL 60451 on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service on Monday, January 21, 2019 prayers in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 AM leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan. In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
