88, of New Lenox, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Paul was born in Bancroft, IA to the late John P. and Ella I. (nee Trenary) Govern. Beloved husband of the late June (nee Blanke); loving father of Tammy (Daniel) Sichak, Timothy (the late Debra) Govern, and the late Dennis (the late Connie) St. Jacques; cherished Papa of Ashley and June Sichak, Brian (Marisol) Smith, Daniel Smith, Jessica (Robin) Govern, Dwayne (Kurt Cusanovich) St. Jacques, and Dawn (Robert) Steele; proud great grandfather of Maja Smith, Brandon Steele, Baylee Steele; dear brother of the late John (Bonnie) Govern, the late Dolores (late Vernon) Miller, Patty (Roger) Mathre, the late Phyllis (late Robert) Krause, the late Peter “Joe” (Elaine) Govern, Jean Govern, Priscilla (Melvin) DeGeeter. Paul was a retired Train Master with CSX Railroad and a U.S. Army Veteran. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral Services Wednesday, March 17, 2021 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30am to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton, IL. Masks and social distancing are MANDATORY for ALL in attendance. No food allowed in the funeral home
