Paula J. Wallrich, age 68, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 31, 2023 at home.
Paula is survived by her loving husband Clay Hosh; children, Cambria (Michael Giovenco) Wallrich, and Amelia Wallrich; cherished grandson Owen Giovenco; siblings, Gail (John) Sturm and Michael (Paula Jean) Wallrich; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Leslie Darcy, Lauren Sturm, Lindsey Gabrione, Matthew Wallrich, William Wallrich, and Khyle Hosh.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Chris Nunns, and parents Francis and Delores (nee Gray) Wallrich.
Paula dedicated her life to serving her community, working for decades as a Village Planner, Community Development Director, and Village Manager in Frankfort, Homer Glen, Homewood, and Tinley Park. Her villages became a shining example of good design for the surrounding towns. She was proud to continue that tradition most recently on Frankfort’s Plan Commission. She left her mark not only on the buildings, but on every person she met. Her family was her pride and joy, cooking for them and cheering them on as loudly as possible. Being a grandma to Owen has been her greatest joy. We’ll cherish her memory through her beautiful garden that she nurtured year after year.
Services for Paula will be held on Sunday, August 6th, 2023 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, in Frankfort, with a visitation from 10am until the time of the Memorial Service at 1pm.
