Phyllis Ranieri, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was a graduate of Bloom High School with the class of 1956. A resident of Olympia Fields for 44 years before moving to Lockport, IL. She was a devout Catholic and proud parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Nicholas Ranieri; children, Christy Chiszar, Julie (Mike) Chivini, and Nicholas (Katie) Ranieri Jr.; and her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Chiszar, Janine Chiszar, Michael Chivini, Jessica Chivini, Jake Chivini, Nicholas Ranieri III, and Alyssa Ranieri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Belmont and Rose (nee Ignoffo) Cameli; her in-laws Sertorio and Sylvia Ranieri; and her brother Joseph Cameli.
Services for Phyllis will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 with a visitation from 9:30am- 11am at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL. MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED. NO FOOD IN THE BUILDING AT THIS TIME. Following the visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church at Noon. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital in Phyllis’s name would be appreciated.
