Age 90, a resident of New Lenox, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Loving father of Dayle Hoevel, Dina (Harold) Meter, Raymond Hoevel Jr., Talbot Hoevel, John Hoevel, and Conrad Hoevel; cherished grandfather of Dane Meter, Virginia (Cliff) Smith, Veronica (Dallas) Wilson, Devin (Stephanie) Hoevel, Spencer Hoevel, and Kelsey Hoevel; and great-grandfather of 7. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Hoevel (Lieber), parents Raymond and Jewel Hoevel (O’Malley), and sister Shirley Moss. Ray was a Police Officer for the city of Chicago. He enjoyed playing golf with his wife and spending time with his family. Raymond was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is now with the Lord and reunited with his loving wife Ginny. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 10:0 AM until time of Funeral service at 12:30 PM.
