Ray and Janice Hineman built a love that traveled through time and across numerous states. Their friendliness and generosity are given witness by so many precious friends, adoring family, and the people they cherished in Linton (IN), Orland Park (IL), Naples (FL), and in Ohio. Their lives together began in Linton. Dad was fourteen years old when he first had eyes for Janice. He would ride his bicycle to sit with Mom on her porch. By High School, Ray was a basketball star and Janice was a cheerleader. They soon married and had three children, then seven grandchildren. Ray was a talented man of character who gave himself for his family. Ray could be depended upon without question. He was a born leader. He championed a career at General Motors that began at age eighteen. Ray climbed to an elite position of Area Manager in GM's finance corporation. Janice was the all-so-capable hero to Ray and to her children (and grandchildren). She was strong in purpose, ever encouraging, and always leading in love. Janice would move her family and change her job as Ray earned promotions in new cities. Mom made home "a family." She could never be replaced. Foremost we close with thanks to their Heavenly Father and Jesus their Shepherd, whom Ray and Janice always gave credit for the good life they shared. This year (four months apart), both have reached their heavenly home by Jesus' grace. Ray and Janice were members of the United Methodist Church .
