Rev. Raymond R. Ryan, O.S.A., 81, died March 26. Native of Chicago. Loving son of the late Raymond and Alice Ryan. Professed vows in the Augustinian Order in 1950. Ordained priest in 1957. Provincial of Midwest Augustinian Province for three terms. Long time Director of Formation for Friars in training in Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin and Missouri. Associate Pastor, St. Jude Parish, New Lenox, 1993-98. Mentor, pastor and counselor to many. Survived by his brother Augustinian Friars, his dear sister Marilyn (the late Charles) Beck and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral at St. Jude Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox. Visitation Thursday, 2-8 p.m., with prayer service at 8 p.m., also Friday, 9-10 a.m. Mass 10 a.m. Friday, followed by burial in Augustinian plot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
