Age 21, a resident of New Lenox, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Loving son of Rex and Justyna Stengele (Bancerek); cherished nephew of Aunt Basia and Uncle Rich. Rex graduated from Lincoln Way Central High school and attended college at Penn State. He enjoyed playing sports, was an avid animal lover, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of chapel prayers of 11:00 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
