93, of Palos Heights, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 surrounded by family. Rich was born in Chicago to the late Joseph and Emma (nee McCenna) Kadansky. Loving father of Deborah (Frank) Stumpf, Diane (Thomas) Steinbach, and Robert Kadansky; cherished grandfather of Jason (Laurie) Stumpf, Brian Stumpf, Bridgett (Brock) Atwell, Jennifer (Ryan) Monahan, Nicholas Steinbach, Kaitlin (Steven) Dippold, Thomas Steinbach, and Ryan Steinbach; proud great-grandfather of Jacob Stumpf, Caden, Landon and Zoe Atwell, Kyla and Liam Monahan, Sawyer and Walker Dippold, and Sydnee Keener; dear brother of Gerald (Connie) Kadansky and the late Dorothy (late Frank) Recchia. Rich was a retired salesman with Brucker Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning and a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral Service Saturday, August 7, 2021 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15am to St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Orland Hills, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment with Full Military Honors will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at a later date.
