Richard John Gilbertson
45, of Mokena, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012. Born in Chicago to Rich and Grace (nee Suddoth) Gilbertson. Beloved husband of Jennifer (nee Ricksecker); Loving father of Jocelyn, Lucas and Logan; Cherished brother of Catherine (Jim) Malooly and Erica Hazen; Dear son-in-law of Jerry and Betty Ricksecker; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Rick loved his family and the outdoors. He was a member of Plumbers Local 130 UA. He coached many area teams, including the Mokena Jr. Griffins Football Association, Mokena Blaze, Mokena Burros Football Assocaition, Mokena Baseball Softball Association, Mokena Park District Basketball, and Mokena Park District Soccer. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to The Gilbertson Children Fund at Bank of America in Frankfort, IL. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451, on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 4:00PM until time of memorial service at 7:00PM in the funeral home chapel.
