Rita Tinker, 67, died just after 1p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at her home in Lockport IL.
Mrs. Tinker was born May 11, 1954, in East St. Louis IL, the daughter of Edward and Joyce Reuscher.
She married Steven Tinker on October 1, 1972, in Vandalia IL.
She was a homemaker. A business school graduate who worked as a teachers aid and most recently retired as the Investigations Secretary for the Lockport Police Department. She was also an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Lenox where she enjoyed Bible study and being an Alto in the Choir. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, going to the movies or reading a good book. Most of all she loved spending time with family especially when it involved snacks or bloody marys.
She is survived by two sons, Damon and Caton (Brandy). Her sister Shirley (Bert) Lotz, brother Max (Susan) Reuscher and many nieces, nephews & great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Rita will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 N. Cedar Rd, in New Lenox beginning at 1pm.
