94, of Plainfield, IL formerly of Muscoda, WI, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Symphony of Orchard Valley in Aurora, IL. Robert was born in Richland Center, WI to the late Paul and Opal (nee Wallace) Peeples. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Wellman); loving father of Linda (Steve) Crain and Barbara (Paul) Caliendo; cherished grandfather of MaryDawn (Chris) Glaser and Rhonda (Frank) Tuminello; proud great-grandfather of Jonathan and Rachel Glaser, and Francesca and Angelina Tuminello; dear brother of the late Cleon (late Iris) Peeples and Paul “Jim” (late Mary Alice) Peeples; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was a former Pastor serving at several United Methodist Churches in Wisconsin. He was a proud WWII U.S. Army Veteran and was thrilled to be able to take the Honor Flight. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 3:00pm until time of Funeral Service at 5:00pm. Private interment with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Masks and social distancing are MANDATORY for ALL in attendance. No food allowed in the funeral home.
