Robert J. Trodden, 87, of Tinley Park, formerly of Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, passed away on Oct. 15, 2018. He is survived by his loving family: children: Lisa (Michael) Donahue of Bradley, and Scott (Deanna Blatt) Trodden of Tinley Park; granddaughter: Nicole Pratl of Bradley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis nee Cunico in 2012 and his sisters, Marybarbara Kunz, formerly of Oak Lawn, and Roseann Trodden who passed away in childhood. Mr. Trodden graduated from Chicago Vocational School in 1950 and married Phyllis in 1963. He enjoyed stock car racing, Nascar, monster truck and demolition derby shows. Retired at 62 after a career in Furniture Sales, Mr. and Mrs. Trodden enjoyed going on cruises and traveling. Visitation will be held on Thur., Oct. 18th, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, Oct. 19th, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Chapel Service 10:30 a.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel. 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. Interment following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Heartland Memorial Center.
